So I was deadheading flowers yesterday - a marigold seed head was caught in a pocket corner - what a disaster in the washer. The (white) pants are totally ruined - dye all over in splotches and another pair is stained on the behind.
I did the pre-wash thing and added dry bleach - didn't touch it. I'm considering chlorine bleach as the slacks are ruined anyway - I understand now how American Native Indians used plants for dye. It works!
I've done the same dang thing Jean! It's just so natural to put seed heads into a pocket while working in the garden! Grrr!
