The Main Floor is Done!

After several months having workers here off and on, the main floor is done. Tomorrow a painter will touch up some trim and paint the new doors - that's about it. I postponed doing tile in the baths for now - want to talk to some people and research flooring a bit.

I sorted the master bedroom closets and have stuff to give away. The hand bags alone would sink a ship - silly, silly. It's so nice to see open space in the walk-in. The shelves are nearly bare - I really want to get rid of most items.

Due to old age (!), I work a half hour then rest and start all over. I hate not being able to go like crazy for hours. Where did my youth go and when?!

We emptied the closets in the master bedroom this afternoon - I'm tossing my clothes and wearing loin cloths only from this day forward. How ridiculous is it to have 5 rods full between him and I - I confess he had 2 of the 5.

Now I have to rearrange some stuff in order for them to put bifold doors on a closet and trim around everything.

I got all the dresser drawers out except one- it was sticky and I thought I'd break it so will let them do it tomorrow.

When this project is complete, I will be close to delerious!

Exhausted!

So I took my neighbor shopping for groceries today, made turkey soup, browned burger to make a casserole for tomorrow, emptied about 1/2 our bedroom (to ready it for a new floor), we both shoveled about 6" or more of snow in the drive and washed 2 loads of clothes and 2 loads for the dishwasher.

Me tired:)

Happy First!

Today is MiHwa and Mark's first anniversary.

It's been so nice to see a couple love each other as you two do. Dad and I wish you only the best on your journey through life together.

If you enjoy anywhere near the love we have shared, it will be a journey indeed!

Turkey Night - - -

So at 4pm I decided to put my turkey in the oven! I Just took it out now - looks great. No stuffing in the bird as it would have taken too long. The sauce for gravy is golden, golden. Yum.

I'll carve it and make gravy for Monday - time for bed.

Guest Room Pics

So the Guest Room is Done!

Finally, after basically fooling around with workers since Oct. 07, the guest room is done. We had laminate laid in there, also. I organized the guest linens and sorted the closet and drawers.
I do need window treatment - there is only a room darkening blind but can't buy as don't know what would look good.

Took pictures but have to download them to the "other" computer first. Those pics will also be for house insurance purposes. I'll go to each room and do the same.
