A little stroke of brilliance (happens occasionally:)  Corralled all my hair and bath products in a $1.00 basket. Now I can sit on the bench and not have bottles flying all over - with the holes on the sides and bottom, it's perfect.This hand shower is the best - I think I use it more than the wall main one.

Brilliance #1

So in a moment of brilliance I thought to use kitchen tongs to reach cords on various blinds. Some are over the bay window with a sink and window ledge making it too far to reach. The other blind is over a front loader.

So my cleaner got the wine out and everything looks sparkling new -and he reinterated  "don't" touch a stain. Let me do it.

Hands Off!!!

So yesterday afternoon I attended a neighborhood "meet your neighbor" get together I walked over to get some sparkling water when a friend handed me a glass of Merlot (my fav).

Maybe I had one sip when a new acquaintance gestured with his hand and knocked my glass into my lap. My favorite cream dress pants and matching jacket are ruined as is the shell I wore under the jacket.

It's such a shock that everything is in slow motion - taking seconds to happen. I didnt even try to jump out of the way.'

"Googles your friend, Mom" echoed thru my head so I faithfully tried all the miracles -none worked.

The dry cleaner today told me if red wine ever spills to not try anything!!! Leave it to him. I will see result Saturday:)

Lost and Found!

Our son and DIL had luggage checked by security. To their consternation, they felt the GSP had gone missing.

we got an email saying the inspector had made such a mess that the GSP ended up hidden in a shoe -maybe his idea of humor??

Was happy to hear that it was located as was disappointed to think an official would do something like that.

It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's an earthquake!!!

It was a quiet Monday morn til the jet flew low overhead. Actually ducked, (as if that would help) as was sure our house was going to be hit.

Then the "plane" didn't hit. Turns out a 4.7 to 5.4 quake had rumbled in the area.

I didn't feel the floor shake but it probably did.

Why Didn't I Know This Then!!!

 So, I just read a wonderful hint - scatter moist coffee grounds on your cold ashes before you start to empty the ashes. There will be no puffy mess of ash all over as they cling to the coffee grounds.

I learn this now that I have gas fireplaces!
