Elephant Ears?

Not sure- don't really think this is elephant ears as my plants had longer leaves. Does anyone know? We went for a walk to the ocean and I loved this container - it was so lush.

Does your son the chef prefer a
style of cooking?

Being a Kraft dinner queen, not sure what you mean - like Mexican? He's in a hoity toity hotel so I guess he has to make what they have on the menu.In personal life, I know he loves BBQ stuff when he's home. I think he cooks Asian a lot at home.

I think that may be a 'Calla'...that's likely a good guess, as traditionally there are a lot around town in planters. Dramatic, beautiful display of blooms begin early...about mid-april. We have a big planter of them in the backyard. The leaves look a lot like what's in our planter?! I love them too, even after the blooms cease, the leaves stay brilliant green, fresh and healthy, to be enjoyed long into the autumn. One of the last perennials to 'nap off' for winter.
I was going to transplant them 'now', as they are coming up quickly. I thought along the 'wall' of the front steps, to the right of the BIG urn. The prolific, enormous, white blooms on those long stalks would look dramatic against the new charcoal colour paint...don't you think?? :^)

Hello! I totally agree they should be transplanted but into my garden!

And yes, they would be beautiful moved there- they look so delicate- thought they'd be a first plant to "go" but my pic was 10/06!
