Garden Plans

I've been writing my list for the garden and need rose plants - they are my Hon's fav flower after pansies! Guess the best thing to do is find a good spot first and then decide on the rose.

Jean...Are you familiar with the
"Knockout" roses? We have planted
a few and are so happy with them.
They are a shrub rose that bloom
all summer long. The flowers are
not a tea rose type, but beautiful
nevertheless. Very disease resistant, deer resistant and seems
content even under snow. Also,
the Morden rose is very suited to the Canadian climate and is a shrub rose as well. Plant some
Pacific Giant Delphiniums behind
them and and baby's breath between
the roses and you will have a
garden to behold......

I get carried away in the garden,
you will have to excuse my presumptiveness for planting yours.....Pansies are now available
in all of our garden supply centres,

I can really recomend the Morden roses. There are several different colors, but my favorite is the Centenial. They are really hardy, even here in Nipawin, Sk. Good luck.
Lucky you to be thinking of planting all ready. When we housesat out there, we(I) would come home with plants and then I'd have to babysit them for a month or two. I can just see the pansies and primroses that I loved to have on the table when out there.

Move somewhere milder, Elaine. But, I know it's tough when you have family nearby -
