"Patience, Please - Good Food Takes Time to Prepare"
At high end restaurants, it is often noted that " good food takes time to prepare so don't get your shirt in a knot" or words to that effect. Ah, well, people would have more than their shirts in a knot waiting for turkey dinner here, today! I forgot to put the turkey in the oven! Only admit this to my blogging friends as it's rather embarrassing - Wouldn't have thought of it but I came down to check email and my blog came up with a nice cooked turkey showing!!! Luckily I had meatballs in the freezer so voila.
One Christmas a few years ago we dined at 9:30pm - our company arrived by plane around noon, we opened gifts, snacked and then remembered the turkey! Still in the fridge. There were 8 of us but everyone was gracious (read:very hungry) and managed til dinner was ready. So if you come to visit at our house, expect the very unexpected. To quote, get the guest hungry.

Is this what happens, when sis comes to visit and stays to long?,or are you practising for Christmas?ha,ha
Just think how good that turkey will taste tomorrow.
oui~
What a funny story! If it makes you feel any better, I have prepared an entire meal in the crock pot and left the house, only to come home to find the pot just as cold as when I left -- I forgot to turn it on! And by then, all the ingredients had to be tossed away, of course. I wish I could say I had done that only once...
Oh, I love crockpot meals! That would have been a terrible disappointment!
