Petra mentioned AH in her comment - they are so beautiful! We planted 8 in the pool bed the first yr. and they winter killed the 2nd yr - lost them all. Due to $ I didn't replace them and should have ck'd their hardiness here.

Hydrangeas are my favorite! Well, after the Gerber Daisies. A funny story - years ago I worked as a wedding florist. The bride wanted blue hydrangeas for her late Sept, wedding -- no such thing -- in the end, I wound up buying tons of white ones from Holland and spray painting them with blue floral paint! No one knew the difference and I wasn't telling! They are such a pretty flower!
