Our master bedroom is large enough - I love certain things about it. We had it painted it a very soft green in Oct. 02 and had cream moldings put in. For several weeks we just lay on the bed to enjoy our "new" retreat!
Our bedroom is multifunctional if that's a word! We have a TV, VCR. DVD player, stereo system and a lovely book case stuffed to the hilt! Even have a bed with bedding - I know it's sounding like we do everything except sleep there.
My Man and I have enjoyed listening to music or reading - especially after a long day at work.
Our kids would pile on the bed and watch hockey with us or talk- and they were always welcome. I know some couples feel the room is off limits but our feeling it was "ours" meaning to share with our family. One touching memory was when Dad flew to NS for a 2 week holiday - we saw him off at the airport and then the kids and I and our shepherd! and our 2 nieces, all piled on the bed to console each other.

Your thoughts re your bedroom reminded me of all the great times we had when our kids (4 of them) would bring in all of their birthday presents to our bed and we would watch the birthday boy or girl open their presents from us and their siblings. This always took place first thing in the morning and sometimes it was touch and go whether or not they would be ready to catch the school bus when it was at the gate. Great times.
