Ageless

We sat and talked and talked and talked - so much to catch up since our last lunch. Henny is the epitome of graciousness and kindness.

It was so wonderful to hear her tell of how she met her husband (at a dance) and how he was a very accomplished dancer and she not. And of their engagement and eventual marriage and family in Canada. As I mentioned, she is a retired RN and loves to talk of her nursing days. I wanted to ask her if I may take her picture but it seemed invasive as if to break the spell.

As I sat in my car, she knocked on my window remembering more to tell me. It was so sweet. A good visit when you don't want it to end.

We parted with a good laugh about nothing - and I saw her as a 30 year old woman. She tossed her head back and laughed as I had never seen before. That memory is etched in my mind. A 20 year time span which meant nothing.

I sounds like a wonderful visit and lunch. Glad you took some time for yourself and kept up with an old friendship. Keep it up.
