The beds are 14' by 2' so I'll get lots planted probably Tuesday. My tomatoes plants are starving in their little pots. Only have 2 beds ready because I'm old!!! It's tough work shoveling the soil, compost and humus. But what nummy mix for the plants. I wish I had them ready a couple weeks earlier just to get a jump on the growing season.
The lawn needs cutting!
Happy gardening to anyone out there who is doing it!

Speaking of tomatoes, what kind to you like?? A friend was telling me this past week that they really like the "Bragger", so have been looking for some of those. I usually try new varieties, and love the Sweet 100's.
On the farm I always had Manitoba Tomatoes, as they canned well and were not too acidy.
Hi! The only place I ever found Manitobas was in Calgary. I loved them. Would it be an imposition to ask you to save a few seeds? Pretty please?
I plant mainly Romas but also Beefsteak and Early Girl and Sweet 100's
Love Romas for their meatiness...
great for salsa and juice....also
like heirlooms for their huge size
and sweetness.
