Years ago, I was cooking turkey dinner. My Hon arrived home and I asked about the wonderful aroma. He said he didn't smell anything. Bells (of some sort) went off but I didn't know.

Thanks for the very important link and info. I would of never thought that smell could be a sign of this disease, and I'm grateful for all the research you're doing and informing us. I'll be a little more knowledgeable when hanging w/ some of my many senior friends.

Thanks, Kim. As I look back, there were flags popping up everywhere but I didn't ever suspect disease.

Someone just recently mentioned this early symptom to me; I'd be interested in understanding the connection better.

Don't understand the physiology of it but my Hon cannot smell anything now. As I look back, I remember many instances of that happening but I did not know anything about Alzheimer's and certainly didn't suspect it.
