Deterioration - - -

So, my hand writing has deteriorated to the point people make games of my notes, letters and grocery lists. I am not impressed - but neither are they as they try to decipher my evil code.

Today our power was off from 10:30am to 3:30pm and again for 10 minutes at 7pm. We look like Goodyear Blim* - all bundled up in hooded sweats etc. But, I digress:)

Couldn't really do anything without power - then it hit me! I can write my Christmas cards - yeah, I'm just a bit late - - -

So, if anyone calls asking an explanation if they can't read my writing, at least this year I have a valid excuse, "I loved you all so much I persevered and wrote by candle light" - which is true - and it may fly that this year as I have a reason for my poor writing.

I wrote 4 cards before the power came back on - - - and no, I'll never tell which ones were by candle. Actually, I think they were better than the rest!

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Merry Christmas to you also!

Boy, does this bring back memories! While in grade-school I shattered my left arm and was reduced to using the less-dominant side. Waaaay ugly! When my teacher graded me "D" in penmanship, my parents actually demanded an audience with the principal!
My handwriting was never that good to begin with (still isn't) ... so I send Kudos your way for throwing caution to the winds and handwriting your cards!
Hope you thoroughly enjoy your company in the coming days!

Thanks for checking in and also for the Christmas wishes! We are in a record cold snap with 10" snow to fall today - just shoved about 3" - ho,ho,ho:)

Okay, we must be soul mates. My handwriting is atrocious and it is a game in my family also for loved ones to decipher my code. My penmanship was horrible until 6th grade when my teacher suggested I write with a left handed slant even though I was right handed. Then in college I took shorthand which is a right slant and left over was this tangled mess I call my doctor's handwriting. I can read it but my journals left for posterity will go unread.
