Small Victories Add Up

So it's been just over 2 months since I broke my shoulder and arm.
This weekend I was able to insert and remove pierced earrings - a small but very exciting feat.

Also, once this weekend I was able to pull both socks on, usually can only get the left one on without help.

Got my hair cut again as can't manage it to blow dry or put up in a knot or hair clip - hopefully that is soon - in the meanwhile it's short and being curly, works for me.

Also, the biggest of all, I was able to pick up Buddy if I used my good arm for his weight(considerable:) and kind of held his one rear leg til I got him in my arms.

Small but wondrous feats.

I totally understand..we never realize all that we can do until we are hurt and can't....if I had curly hair it would be short hurt or not:)

Well, you're coming along nicely. It must seem as if this entire winter has been a major challenge for you. What's one more challenge in your life, huh?
Curly hair comes in darn handy, doesn't it? I've always been thankful for mine, well...except during the '60's, when ironing it was a way to straighten it. Frizzy wasn't IN, in the 60's.

Congrats, Jean!
Having gone through a few months with "frozen shoulder" last year, I understand how the little things sure mean a LOT!

It sounds like you are doing much better than average. But then, I am sure you would not baby yourself. You have to move through some pain to regain movement and function.

It's tough when you are out of commission. Glad you're healing now.
