Honey Dear Darling

So it's about 1955 and Bro and I decided to go exploring in the hills above our little town. This is nothing new. We are 5 and 10 years of age.

I really don't know what happened but Bro ended up in a hole in the hills. (No, I didn't push him).I reached down for him and he to me. Finger tips just inches from touching - I strain for him. No luck. Now panic sets in - and he begins to cry. I freak and wonder what to do??? Settle him down with loving words - "Don't worry, Honey dear darling" Now he freaks! His sister calling him that!

Anyway, ran home to Dad and told him our tale of woe. He had just got off duty in the mine and roared up the hill - found Bro and I'm sure was very relieved.

So click on the pic and and we were about where that first post is.

Questionable whether I slipped into that hole or was 'helped' in!? Considering the 'welcome' I received upon arriving in this world, the jury may be still out on this one! (grin) Perhaps you may need a few more entries to explain my comments.
I think you know, though?! Running away from home....'baby carriage abandonment' etc. Guess you'd best consult with big sister on that one, hmmm?! (lol)
Aside from planning my demise...the sentiment was very sweet at the moment...I really should have appreciated it more, looking up at you from my rather frightening situation.

Amazing how children always feel
usurped when the next little one
comes along......However, down the
line we all come to love and appreciate the other...
