Got Cramps - - -

So I got a call today re:leg cramps. Seems Madame's physio told her in order to get rid of one: lie on stomach and swing offending leg out from your body - is almost instantaneous relief.

Our poor Mom, if only we had known for her.

Update: Madame also noted to keep your body hydrated to help prevent cramps.

I have terrible leg cramps and when they strike I get up and walk around but it takes forever to get some relief. I'm not sure I understand this, but will try it as I think it should be the next time I get one. And yes, my mom had them too and could have used a tip for relief.

She said to just swing your leg out - maybe it stretches the muscles.

Thanks for the tip! I get terrible leg cramps every night -- have had them since I was a kid. We've tried everything, but this is a new idea! I will try it the next time :-)

Wow! Wish I'd known that last night
as I just about killed my poor husband swinging my arms and jumping out of bed. Major bad muscle cramp!!!
Is that the same as a leg cramp? I'm not sure I would've thought to even swing my leg out it hurt so bad. I have never been prone to these but have had 2 in the last 6 wks. Maybe I'll try next time. It beats knocking my hubby out!

Lots of water required in your system to help prevent them. Also, some people swear eating a banana helps and having liquid calcium - ***Not to be taken as med. advice -see your doctor.
