And that's the good news

Yesterday the sling was removed for good - it felt so good to not be tied up although my arm felt like it were hanging by a little bit of tissue. Celebrated by walking 30 minutes on indoor track.

Mobility is an issue but I can move it a few inches - work on it every time I think of it. The orthopedic MD set me up with physio at our local hospital - there treatment is included where as private treatment is $65. per time.Due to a long wait list, I will pay in order to start next week.

After this ordeal, I will be extremely careful on wet leaves and ice.

So good to hear that your getting better. The therapy will hopefully speed it along.

In the icy weather, maybe you need 'cleats' on the bottom of your shoes.
I'm sure I'd end up breaking something if I were walking on ice.

Dolores, I bought cleats now, a little too late!

Who knew that the "cost" of one little slip like that would infiltrate so on your life, finances, time, and pain level!
Sheesh! What a nuisance!

I'm glad to know you are healing. It must seem like forever for you. Hope the private treatment goes well.

Good news! Take good care, Jean. Sounds like you have that covered.

I know what it's like to lose motion/mobility after moving from DE to NC while on crutches for ankle surgery. Ugh.

You should be able to do most of the exercises on your own once you learn what you should be doing. You are wise to get going with your rehab rather than waiting on the long list. Shoulders are quick to stiffen. Good luck!
